Volunteer Sign-Up

The VEX Robotics Competition World Championship is on the move and rapidly approaching. Your support is needed to successfully deliver this event to students from around the world.

Volunteers are being sought for full days to help make the teams participation a magical event. Please remember that signature events like this don't just happen. A well-resourced event always runs smoothly and your involvement and support will make a big difference for the participating students. Will you consider donating your time to give participants the best experience possible? You can be a part of this exciting event and receive benefits by joining our team of volunteers.

What Benefits Will I Receive as a Volunteer?

Volunteers that donate at least a full day of their time will receive a free event t-shirt and meal credits for each day in appreciation of the time and effort donated. Any volunteers committing to two days or more are eligible for rooms at the Anaheim Marriott or the Hilton Anaheim at discounted rates. These hotels are conveniently located adjacent to the Anaheim Convention Center. The details for obtaining the selected room rate will be shared with volunteers after they have signed up on-line, communications with them have been confirmed and preliminary assignments made. Only confirmed volunteers will be able to book these special rates.

What Positions Are Available?

There are several positions that volunteers may choose. If you are interested in being a Judge, Field Manager or referee, we ask that you have previous experience in these positions. A range of other positions can be performed after reading a single page of instructions and receiving careful hands-on training at the event. Examples of these positions include team queuing, field resetters (a great job for students), pit support, and administrative support to name a few. How Do I Volunteer?

Volunteers can sign up by simply filling out an on-line form. We will begin accepting entries on January 1, 2012. The link to the online form will be listed here after January 1, 2012.

The on-line form will allow potential volunteers to provide experience information and essential contact information so we can contact you about a volunteer opportunity.
