Event Description
On Friday, August 7, UNT and Texas BEST will host BEST teacher training at the UNT Discovery Park, 5 miles north of the UNT main campus in Denton, Tx. The address is 3940 N Elm Street.
The training is open to teachers, mentors, and other persons active as volunteers in BEST robotics. If you register for the training, further directions, parking instructions, and a specific
schedule will be provided. The session will start at 8 AM with coffee and a welcome and the last "class" will conclude by 5 pm (It will not be necessary to attend all classes to receive CEUs as below). The specific training sessions and the teaching entity will include:
Learning to learn - UNT
Entrepreneurship - UNT
Project based instruction - UNT
Classroom interactions - UNT
The Brain - BEST
Care of batteries - BEST
Coaches survival - BEST
Awards and Judging - BEST
