Event Description
The Small Manufacturers' Institute and LA Valley College are proud to host the LA Valley College/SMI VEX Round Up Challenge for the 2010-2011 season. This competition is open to any and all middle and high school VEX robotics teams.
We will have two competition fields, a Skills Challenge field and full practice field at this event. Both Robot Skills and Programming Skills Challenges are open to all registered teams.
Maximum number of teams for this event: 36. After 30 teams have been registered, priority for the remaining six slots will go to new VEX teams participating in their first competition. Remaining slots may be filled by other VEX teams, including the possible registration of a fourth team by schools that have already registered three teams. Questions? E-mail ralphmills@aol.com
Top teams from this event will qualify for both the CREATE Foundation Championship of the Americas VEX Tournaments in March 2011 VEX Robotics Championship of the Americas (Omaha, Nebraska, March TBA, 2011) and the 2011 VEX Robotics World Championship (Kissimmee, Florida, 4/14/2011 - 4/16/2011).

Special VEX Playing Field available during the day for kids of all ages to try their hand at driving a VEX robot.
