Team 79 Krunch and the USF College of Engineering proudly present the 3rd annual Tempest ‘N Tampa off-season robotics event. Tempest ‘n Tampa is an off-season FIRST and VEX Robotics competition event, featuring the 2009 FRC game challenge and also hosting a VEX Robotics Competition tournament with the new game for the 2009/2010 season - Clean Sweep. The USF Sun Dome will open its doors Friday afternoon and remain open all night so that teams traveling from near and far can come when they choose and be able to set up and practice when they arrive. In addition, we are pleased to offer team members and chaperones a Team Lock-in at the Sun Dome on Friday night as a free and easy alternative to local hotels. Designated team sleeping areas, shower and bathroom facilities, security, and lots of entertainment will be provided.

Registration for the VEX TNT Competition is $50 and done here, online, at robotevents.com.

Other Information

Parking/Unloading/Pit Setup
Parking lots will be available on the south side of the Sun Dome for participants and visitors. Parking outside these lots will require a USF day-pass which can be purchased for $5 at each lot. Unloading of the robots and equipment will be done through the Sun Dome loading dock located beneath Entry 2 on the northeast corner of the building. Participants and visitors will enter through the Sun Dome main gate at Entry 3 on the Southeast corner of the building. Each team will be assigned a 10’x10’ pit area with a table and power drops.
