The Asian Robotics League is proud to announce the Second Annual ARL VEX Robotics Championship. Being held November 20-22, 2008, this event brings together teams from multiple countries throughout Asia to compete with and against each other in the new VEX Robotics Competition for the 2008-2009 season. The top performing teams from this event will qualify to participate in the VEX Robotics Competition World Championship in the United States in the spring of 2009. Last year, top teams from the ARL walked away with many top prizes at the VEX Robotics World Championship. Three teams from China won the 2008 World Championship, another team from China made it to the finals (with partners from Brazil and the United States) and a team from Singapore won the Excellence Award for the top overall team of 2008. The VEX Robotics Competition is even bigger and better in 2008-2009, with close to 100 different tournaments from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, England and more looking to send teams to the VEX Robotics World Championship to compete with and against the top teams from the Asian Robotics League.
